Growlers on Highway opened its doors in August of 2007. The bar as it is known today is owned by partners Myron Chapman, David Petersen, and George Petersen. The idea of opening a nightspot in Highland, Indiana was put into motion by Myron. Early on, he had sought out partners that would share his vision of what type of bar Growlers should be, and would help develop the concepts that would shape us as we are today. Eventually, Dave and George rounded out the partnership and the three of us set out to make our concepts reality.

 

On any given day or night our customers can enter a clean, comfortable, and safe atmosphere where they can enjoy any combination of drinks, sports on TV, special events, and entertainment. We have 17 draft beers (13 of them craft beers), all the popular domestic bottled beers, many bottled craft beers, specialty mixed drinks and martinis, and most any type of shot or concoction that can be made by our talented bartenders. While enjoying their preferred libations, our patrons will be entertained by an event on any of our 27 flat screens, music played on internet based e-tunes or by one of our 2 DJs, or by our Wednesday and Saturday live bands. Don't feel like sitting around? Get up and shoot a game of pool, play darts, Golden Tee, or Bean Bags. Whatever your entertainment desire is, we're sure you'll find it at Growlers on Highway. The owners of Growlers are very involved with, enjoy watching, and enjoy participating in many sports activities. Since our doors opened in 2007, we have sponsored many sports teams and individuals in the area. We have sponsored Softball, Basketball, Baseball, and Bowling teams and individuals who have competed in Ultimate Fighting and Boxing.
